Our History
Over 115 Years of Keeping Long Island Comfortable
From delivering ice and coal by horse-drawn carriage to installing modern, high-efficiency natural gas systems, our family-owned business has been proudly serving our neighbors for over a century. We've adapted with the times to always provide the best for our customers.
- 1909: Our story begins, delivering ice and coal to the Baldwin, NY community.
- 1919: We partnered with another local company and became BeATO Ice and Coal.
- 1930s-40s: As homes modernize, we lead the transition from coal to kerosene and then to heating oil.
- 1946: We incorporate as BeATO Fuel and Appliance Corp., expanding our services across Nassau and Suffolk counties.
- 1981: To better serve our on-demand customers, we launch Quality Oil, offering delivery flexibility and discount pricing.
- Today: We are a full-service energy provider for both oil and natural gas, offering comprehensive maintenance plans, installations, and conversions for residential and commercial customers.
